10 Days Later.... Ten days after seeing DEPECHE MODE live... Yep, still excited. The entire audience singing "Everything Counts" with Depeche Mode on stage... *surreal*
So who is everyone voting for this upcoming election? Current Mood: ecstatic | | Monday, November 28th, 2005 | | 7:40 pm |
I'm making a hip hop mix with songs like "Apache (Jump On It)" by Sugar Hill Gang and "I Wish" by Skee Lo. Anyone have any suggestions? Any hip hop artist, I don't care! Current Mood: content | | Monday, October 24th, 2005 | | 7:51 pm |
Today I feel as if I were bitten by a zombie, like the kind from Dawn of the Dead... quick moving yet still suffering through rigor mortis. That's about it. I just wanted to throw in a movie reference. :D Current Mood: sleepy | | Thursday, October 20th, 2005 | | 1:44 pm |
To the Consumer Do you really know what you are buying?
Well if you do, then read no further! For those who don't know... and for those who really despise corporations such as the Altria Group, Inc. a.k.a. Philip Morris, Inc. (small update: Altria owns 100 percent of Philip Morris USA, Philip Morris International, and Philip Morris Capital Corporation. It also owns 84 percent of Kraft Foods Inc. and 36 percent of SABMiller plc. - wikipedia.com) I shall supply a list of foods/beverages owned by them (taken from wikipedia):
Post Cereals: Post acquired Jell-O, Baker's, Maxwell House, General Foods, Nabisco cereals which is then owned by Philip Morris who merged with KRAFT who owns Post
Others: Daim, Jacobs Coffee, Kaffee Hag, Kool-Aids, BOCA BURGER (for you vegetarians out there), Lenders Bagels, Milka, Miller Brewing, Miracle Whip, Miracoli, Onko, Oscar Mayer meats, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Shake n' Bake, Splenda, Suchard, and Vegemite (yeah, that's right, Australians favourite!).
Enjoy! Current Mood: restless | | Wednesday, October 5th, 2005 | | 1:01 pm |

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/04/opinion/04rich.html?incamp=article_popular Taken from the article in the link above from September 4th (about 5 days after Katrina hit), 2005:
After dispatching Katrina with a few sentences of sanctimonious boilerplate ("our hearts and prayers are with our fellow citizens"), he turned to his more important task. The war in Iraq is World War II. George W. Bush is F.D.R. And anyone who refuses to stay his course is soft on terrorism and guilty of a pre-9/11 "mind-set of isolation and retreat." Yet even as Mr. Bush promised "victory" (a word used nine times in this speech on Tuesday), he was standing at the totemic scene of his failure. It was along this same San Diego coastline that he declared "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln more than two years ago. For this return engagement, The Washington Post reported, the president's stage managers made sure he was positioned so that another hulking aircraft carrier nearby would stay off-camera, lest anyone be reminded of that premature end of "major combat operations."
Now today is September 11th... I can't wait to hear what's going to come out of Bush's mouth.
Feel free to paste any comments/stories about Bush! Current Mood: tired | | Sunday, August 28th, 2005 | | 1:29 am |
Ladies and Gents, Let me share my ephiphany with you! Taken from: http://www.dribbleglass.com/subpages/strange/sexlaws.htm"Up until 1884, a woman could be sent to prison for denying a husband sex." No wonder women deny sex so much these days! They were never allowed to before! Perhaps over the years of having such a brutal warning over their heads, they've now taken advantage that they don't HAVE to have sex if they don't feel like they should. It's like random black persons being pissed off at caucasians for no reason, but if you look at history then you'll know they used to be slaves! I guess I'd use it as an excuse too! Overall, I guess all of those "Sorry honey, I have a headache" "I'm on my period... uhh yeah AGAIN" "I'm too tried" excuses actually stem from a law... Hmm... Or maybe men just aren't giving their ladies what they need. Sincerely, Amos Holmez, lover of the Russian Queen | | Saturday, August 20th, 2005 | | 2:16 am |

IT'S TIME FOR: Guess that SONG! through the lyrics provided.
1. I don't care, I have no luck, I don't listen all that much! 2. White and trashy and incredibly dumb 3. But then like "BOOM" black suits fill the room. 4. I'm the root of all that's evil yeah, but you can call me "Cookie". 5. I used to like Mariah 'til I learned she was mixed. 6. My shangrila, I can't forget. Why were you mine? I need you now. 7. The ones that take you to the places where all the veins meet. 8. You know what flows there like wine. 9. We've seen the back of another black day. 10. Feel how Illtown drown smiles to frowns.
Bonus: "Make you hippa hippa hipaa"

1. Grab the nearest book (or the novel you are currently reading) 2. Open the book to page 123. 3. Find the fifth sentence. 4. Post the text of the sentence in my journal comments and post these instructions in yours! 5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.
